Hi from Germany
Today was more chaotic than we might have hoped but luckily it all worked out in the end.
It was pretty obvious today that a lot of drivers struggled with all the water and we were bound to have one or two hairy moments.
Mark and I had just such a moment in quali, but it was nothing serious and I was able to put it right pretty quickly. Mark and I had a chat about it after qualifying and he said he just couldn’t see me with all the water on his rearview mirror – things like that happen and it's not a big deal.
Our luck improved towards the end of quali as the weather cleared a bit. I realised that I had to push as hard as I could in the final few laps and thankfully the risk paid off. I made a couple of two small errors but I’m more than happy to take second place and a front-row start tomorrow.
We spent the rest of the day and evening fine-tuning the car mainly because we weren't 100% satisfied with our set-up. We were missing something in qualifying, but I'm sure we'll be able to figure it out and perfect it by tomorrow.
I'm really looking forward to sure they will once again tomorrow's race and especially the amazing fans. They always create a unique atmosphere and we'll be doing everything in our power to reward them.
Talk to you tomorrow,
Seb
