The Magnificent Seven! It actually happened – seven different winners in seven races.
One thing is for certain: this F1 season is anything but boring.
Of course we’d rather have had a better finish to the race than we did, but I’d say we still had a good weekend: we won some important points and every single one is important.
I got away pretty well at the start, and left the others behind. But it wasn’t long before it was apparent that the tyres were wearing a lot faster than we thought and that put a spoke in our wheel. The rears went away very quickly so we had to put in a second pit stop and that cost us a bit of time. But it was the right decision and I was able to overtake Fernando and take the fourth place.
I had a nasty wake up call when I touched the wall and I’ll admit that I misjudged it. I thought that I had enough room but clearly I didn’t. Luckily I think I got away with it and only stroked the wall.
Even though the race has finished, I really have no time to relax as I’ve got to go back to the hotel and pack my things because I’ve got to go straight to New York City tonight.
I've got the chance to drive on what will be the track for the New Jersey Grand Prix and then I’m going back to Manhattan as I’m going to be a guest on David Letterman's show. I can't wait.
Talk to you soon!
Seb
